CMSA is an open USSF affiliated league through it's membership with; SAY,  US Club & MSYSA for League & Tournament Play.  

 

Attn.: All Spring Coaches and Managers

All Teams will need to verify that they are posted correctly on the CMSA website by 2/20/23.  We will start to break down the Age Group Divisions on 2/23/2023; so if your team is not listed in the correct age level or gender, you will need to let us know by 2/23/23.

Spring schedules will be posted between 10 and 14 days prior to the start date (3/15/23) of the spring league.

Programs and Clubs will need to have their field info sent into the league by 2/15/23 or we will not be able to schedule any home games on your fields. 

SPRING LEAGUE - Must Read!

All coaches and team managers need to check that they have  been scheduled for six (6) games.  If you have not been scheduled for the required (6) games, it may be due to two reasons; (1) BYE request (per yours or your opponents request) or (2) your team is in a bracket with an odd number of teams; if this is the case, these games will be scheduled by the league throughout the league season.   

If there is a problem in playing a game; the team must follow the cancelled game policy that is posted under the FORMS tab #5 & #13. 

LEAGUE DAYS and COMPETITIONS:

The C.M.S.A Spring League provides separate Boys and Girls competitive age divisions that will be scheduled to play on SUNDAYS ONLY.  

The 2023 Spring Season will consists of six (6) games and The Old Line State Classic Tournament (optional ) scheduled for the weekend of April 22nd & 23rd.  Complete Old Line & Memorial Day Tournament information is available under the Tournament tab.

The league will schedule games between March 26th thru May 14th.  All postponed games and make-ups must be completed by the May 21st to be counted in the finial standings.  

LEAGUE REGISTRATION DATES:

Starts:  JANUARY 1, 2023
Ends:     FEBRUARY 15, 2023 

Spring League Fees are: $445.00 per team plus Referee Fees 

TOTAL REGISTRATION FEES:

Team Registration & Referee Fees are as posted.  

2016,2015,2014 & 2013 for 6 games Total $649.00

2013, 2012 & 2011 For 6 games Total $745.00

2010 & 2009 for 6 games Total $820.00

2008, 2007 & 2006 for 6 games Total $880.00

Teams that register after the deadline will be charged a additional $100.00.  There is no guarantee that we can place you in the division you are registering for if you are late.

The Registration Fee  includes the Referee Fees; which are listed below.

REFEREE FEES:  

2016, 2015, 2014 & 2013 (7v7)  6 games Total referee fee  $204.00 

2013, 2012 & 2011 (9v9) 6 games Total referee fee $300.00 

2010, & 2009 (11v11) 6 games Total referee fee $375.00      

2008, 2007 & 2006  (11v11) 6 games Total referee fee $435.00

No referee fees are paid on the field.

Referee fees are paid at the time of team registration.

FORFEIT BOND:

  • U07 – U10 @ $200 per team
  • U11 – U18 @ $300 per team

Those teams WITHOUT AVAILBLE FIELDS for CMSA to schedule a minimum of two (2) games back to back games; must submit a forfeit bond.  For U8, 9 & 10 the bond is $200.00; for U11 through 18, the bond is $300.00.  The bond will be deposited in the bank, and if not used, it will be refunded at the end of the season, or can be applied to the fall 2023 season. Clubs with three or more three teams registered in the league with NO FIELDS; will need to post a $500.00 performance bond for all teams entered.

FIELDS: 

We cannot use your field unless we have the ability to schedule at least a minimum of TWO back to back games at the same location. Teams/Programs that are supplying the league with Fields must complete & submit the Field Allocation Form which can be found under the Forms Tab. 

REFEREE & ASSIGNOR FEES:

When registering the teams they must pay their League & Referee Fees online through Stone Alley by February 15th. If your program is pre-Approved to pay with a bulk check the program MUST send  in a spread sheet. The total Bulk League & Referee fees are to paid as one combined payment by March 31st.   Bulk check Programs/Clubs must have at least (5) teams registering to be given approval to pay with a bulk check. Coaches need to check with your Program Chairperson for your payment status.

 

GAME LENGTHS:

U07–U10 (7v7)        2x25 min. halves
U11-U12 (9v9)         2x25 min. halves
U13 -U14 (11v11)  2x30 min. halves
U15 -U18 (11v11)  2x35 min. halves

  

ROSTER SIZES (Spring League Roster Only)

CMSA League Roster Requirements SPRING ONLY.

Players can play for 2 teams provided the players are from the same program & are carded through the same affiliate (PLAYERS MUST PLAY UP in age group) if they are Dual Rostering. This past fall coaches were playing A-Division players on B & C teams  Players can not play in the SAME AGE GROUP. Teams must follow the Team Placement Policy. They must appear on the other teams League Certified Roster.   NO GUEST PLAYERS are allowed for league play.

All teams MUST have a Certified League Roster completed through SAY, US Club or MSYSA. The ROSTER will need to be Processed & Stamped by your CMSA registrar.

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS:

Inclement weather field closings must be reported by the Hosting program to the CMSA office prior to 9 AM on game day (or if your field has early AM games scheduled, then we need to know by 6:30 AM). If a field closing is not reported, the Host program will be responsible for all fees incurred. Sunday Field Cancellations will be posted on both the CMSA website (Home Page) and on our Facebook page between 7:00 & 11:00 am team schedules will not be updated until the next week.
  

ADDITIONAL GENERAL INFORMATION

COACHES AND MANAGERS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO REVIEW THEIR TEAM'S SCHEDULES PRIOR TO EACH WEEK FOR ANY CHANGES, ADJUSTMENTS OR CANCELLATIONS AND NOTIFY THEIR PLAYERS.  

COACHES AND TEAMS ARE REQUIRED TO SET UP ON ONE SIDE OF THE FIELD; WITH ALL SPECTATORS SET UP ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE PLAYING FIELD FACING THEIR TEAM.

LEAGUE SCORE REPORTING 

All scores must be reported by Monday evening to your Age Group Score Coordinators or you will not receive credit for the game.  All games count towards the final standings; there are no championships. The Age Group Score Coordinator only handles scores. If you have a question about the league please contact your league commissioners under the “CONTACT” tab on the CMSA website.
